Whether you are looking for an all tan little one or a classic tan face and blackish steel blue bodied Yorkie there are many breeders and you should choose wisely. Yorkies can be anywhere in weight from the original 20 pounds to as small as 2-3 pounds.

Most Yorkies come with papers and are registered (not always the same thing) and some common clubs are: AKC (American Kennel Club), United Kennel Club, Pacific Kennel Club, Canadian Kennel Club, and The Kennel Club in London (the breed began in England). A good book to buy is (Yorkshire Terrier, A Kennel Club Book tm) you can find it on Amazon and in most book stores!
